EVENT PLANNING

1. General Information

  • Available position(s): 3 in the U.S. and 3 in Vietnam

  • Duration: July 2020 - December 2020  

  • Amount of work: up to 10 hours/week (the amount of work focuses mainly on the days leading up to each event)

3. Responsibilities 

  • Organize and plan events throughout the season such as online webinars, Virtual Demo Day, Mentorship and Training sessions, talks, receptions, and competition rounds for VietChallenge

  • Coordinate VietChallenge’s semi-final rounds in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Boston, national round in Hanoi, Vietnam Startups Championship in America.

  • Look for suitable venue(s) for the events, negotiate and work with vendors, print and prepare the materials, ensure all of the receipts are kept and recorded

 

4. Qualifications​

  • Previous experience in running events or managing logistics is an advantage

  • Responsiveness and ability to meet deadlines are a must

  • Have a good command of English. Understanding Vietnamese is an advantage but not required

  • Living in the Greater Boston Area, Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City is preferred but not required

  • At least 18 years of age
